Narrow down which season you want to move. This is very important because you may have to plan your move differently depending on the season. For example, if you choose to move in winter, then you will have to plan for things like snow removal and heating your new home before you arrive.
Moving date
After you’ve narrowed down the season, now you’ve got to narrow down your moving dates. You don’t have to choose an exact moving date yet, but you should pre-plan as to whether you will be able to do a mid-week move (which is often cheaper than a weekend move) or whether you must move during the end of the month (which tends to be more expensive than a mid-month move).

Contact charities to see which items they take, whether they will do a home collection, and whether they are tax deductible also decide whether it is worth it to go through the trouble of having a garage sale, or listing items on sites like eBay to sell.
